Ingredients
For the Pilau Masala Spice Mix

Cinnamon
ground

Cloves
ground

Cardamom

For The Rice
2
cups
Rice
wash till the water runs clear
½
kg
Beef
cut into chunks

Tomatoes
diced

tablespoon
Ginger
crushed or paste

Garlic
crushed or paste

Stock cube
or any seasoning powder or bouillon

Bay leaves

Cooking oil
Instructions
Season the beef with a pinch of salt.
Add oil to a hot pot on medium heat. Brown the beef for about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Add the onion to the pot (it still contains oil) and sauté until brown.
Bring the beef back to the pot and stir with the onion very well.
Add the pilau masala spice, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, salt and stock cubes. Stir to combine.
Add the washed rice, water or stock and bay leaves. Mix well, cover the pot and boil until the water is absorbed.
Reduce the heat to love and cover again let it cook slowly till the rice is tender and fluffy.
Allow to sit for about 5 minutes, and then serve.
