Pat dry fish fillet from both sides using a paper towel and place it in a baking pan lined with parchment paper or lemon slices.
1 Basa fillet
Add garlic powder, dry parsley, Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, fish seasoning, paprika, black pepper and salt in a small bowl, and mix well.
1 tsp. Dry parsley, 1 tsp. Garlic powder, 1 tsp. Italian seasoning, ½ tsp. Chili flakes, 1 tsp. Fish seasoning, 1 tsp. Smoked paprika, ½ tsp. Salt, ¼ Black pepper
Generously sprinkle the spices and seasoning mixture on one side of the fish fillet and rub gently using your hand to make an even coating.
Drizzle olive oil and pat gently. Repeat the same procedure on the other sides of the fillet. Keep 2 or 3 lemon slices under the fish.
3 tablespoon Cooking oil, Lemon slices
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until flaky. Remove from oven, transfer to the serving plate and serve with your favourite garnishing and sides.

Notes
Start with 1 teaspoon of chili flakes for a balanced heat. For milder fish, use ½ teaspoon and add more to taste. For extra spicy, go up to 2 teaspoons.
Pat the fish completely dry before seasoning so it crisps up and doesn't stick.
Don't overbake. Check at 12 minutes. The fish is done when it flakes easily and reaches 145°F (63°C).
Line your pan with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup and no sticking.
Use even-sized fillets so they all cook at the same rate.
Thaw frozen basa completely and pat dry before seasoning.
Leftovers should be kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
