Lemon Ginger Turmeric Shot, 4 ingredients anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting homemade juice. This involves blending or juicing lemon, ginger and turmeric with a pinch of black pepper for easy absorption.
Wash and rinse the ginger, turmeric and lemons with a vegetable brush.
Cut ginger and turmeric into ½ inch chunks. Peeling is optional. Peel the lemons and cut them into halves.
Using a Juicer
Transfer the lemon, ginger and turmeric to the juicer. I used the Nama Juicer, and it was quick and easy. Add the black pepper to the juice and gently stir.
Add black pepper to the juice and stir.
Using a Blender.
Transfer the lemon, ginger and turmeric to a blender. Add about 2 cups of water and blend until smooth.
Pour the juice into a cheesecloth or fine mesh cloth and squeeze the juice. Remember, turmeric will stain the cloth yellow even after washing.
Add black pepper to the juice and stir.
Serving
Serve as it is, or pour a shot bottle of juice into a glass and add warm water and honey. (That's how I enjoy mine in the morning)
Store the remaining juice in the refrigerator in air-tight containers.
