Ingredients

All-purpose flour

Corn meal

Liquid milk

tablespoon
Baking powder

teaspoon
Nutmeg

teaspoon

Brown sugar
or regular sugar
Oil to deep fry
Instructions
Add oil to a pot or deep fryer and heat to 350℉.
Whisk all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
Add the milk in batches and mix until a dough is formed.
Cut golf size dough and roll with your palms forming long oval shapes.
Add the dumplings into the oil and deep fry for 5-8 minutes until golden brown. Flip then halfway though cooking time for uniform colour and doneness.
When fully cooked, remove from the oil and place on a tray or plate lined with absorbent paper.
Let it cool, then serve while still warm.
